Vanamali Gadi Sharangi Shanki Chakri Cha Nandaki
Sriman Narayanor Vishnur Vasudevo Bhi Rakshatu

Words that succour are what we draw strength from. Words with power. Prayers.

And prayers with a past and proven track record sustain you like nothing else. Except.

Ultimately it comes down to sharanagati.

And that is far easier to talk about than live. Practising faith is a contradiction in itself. If its what you believe you need not 'practise' it. It becomes innate in you... its a part of who you are, and reflects in your life and in what you do and say and how you live.

I've come to realise that words and actions mean nothing. That nothing we do or say or feel matters. Because not one bit of it is real. Not one bit of it is true. And the truth is that ultimately it shows in your soul. When you commune with your soul and ask of it its truths, what emerges is what is. Everything else falls off like a mask at a carnival. So to know what you are and accept that ... that is the first step.

Ultimately it comes to sharanagati.

  RAMANA MAHARSHI

"The ordainer controls the fate of souls in accordance with their prarabda karma. Whatever is destined not to happen, will not happen. Try as you may. Whatever is destined to happen, will happen, do what you may to prevent it. This is certain. The best course, therefore, is to remain silent."
